About me

Hi, I am Dr Sadia Rao, a pharmacologist, educator, and content creator with a PhD and MPhil in Pharmacology and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

I spent several years teaching pharmacology and basic sciences at university level. I always noted that Pharmacology demands active engagement with each drug: its mechanism, its effects, its interactions, its clinical context.

That belief is what led me to create PharmCept, a YouTube channel with 140+ pharmacology videos and 3,000+ subscribers and Inside Pharmacology, a weekly LinkedIn newsletter for pharmacy and medical students. It is also what led me to develop my Pharmacology Fill-In Workbook: a 100-page active-recall resource that lets students build their own personalised drug notes rather than passively reading the content.

Alongside education, I bring a strong research background. I have authored and co-authored 11 peer-reviewed publications in pharmacology, and I also served as a peer reviewer for several international journals including Metabolic Brain Disease and the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (Elsevier). I am GCP-certified (Novartis) and completed clinical trials training specialization from Johns Hopkins University.

I am based in the UK, where I also serve as a School Governor contributing to educational governance and strategy at the institutional level.

Thanks for visiting my website.

Cheers!
